What information do I need to apply for broadband? There’s very little information you need to apply for broadband, and it can all be done in minutes. Once you’ve chosen your broadband provider and package using firsthelpline.com’s broadband comparison service, you’ll be sent to your new provider’s website to complete your application with them. The information they’ll need is pretty basic, and will include the following: If you’re switching your broadband from another provider, you’re well advised to contact your old provider and get a Migration Authorisation Code (MAC) from them. This code is passed onto your new provider and helps switch your broadband over seamlessly. Without a MAC, you’ll need to cancel your existing broadband, and wait a few weeks for your phone line to be cleared before re-applying to a new provider. There’s plenty of information on the firsthelpline.com website for customers who are switching their broadband provider and want to know more about the MAC process. |
